Debra Rose Brillati, Vice President, lives in Aurelius, New York, with her husband, Santo. She has worked in book publishing and trademark law. In 2015, she received a degree in Theology and is an active lay leader at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Skaneateles where she co-chairs the Racial Justice and Reconciliation Commission. She formerly served on the boards of the Harriet Tubman Boosters and Diverse Auburn. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Bard College, Masters degrees from Tufts University and Andover Newton Theological School, and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska Omaha. She is an avid reader and published a family memoir, The House of Many Doors, in 2024.
Liza Kelly, Secretary, lives in Auburn, NY with her husband Tim. Presently retired, her prior employment has either been in the healthcare field or in faith formation. She is an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Owasco, an active member of the Rotary Club of Auburn, NY, and on the Board of Safe and Warm. An avid knitter, she enjoys creating items for her family and friends. She has 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren in whose company she delights in.
Ashley Teucke, Treasurer, lives Owasco NY with her husband, son and two dogs. In addition to her full-time job, she volunteers as Co-Chair of Worth Uniting Cayuga (WUC), Environmental Chair of the NAACP Auburn/Cayuga executive Board, and Co-Chair of the Westminster Presbyterian Church Social Justice Ministry in Auburn NY. She's anti-facist and fed up with oppressors harming her fellow neighbors in the name of profits and share holders. Claire Robinson Howard established her own business as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2015 after working with Dr. John F. Tanquary in Syracuse for eighteen years. She retired in the fall of 2025. Prior to her nursing career Claire was a freelance musician and piano teacher. In 1980 she helped found the Skaneateles Festival, and from 1984-94 she served as its Executive Director. The Festival continues today as a world class music festival and Claire currently serves on its Advisory Board and its Steering Committee. She has been a musician at the Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting for the past 25 years. She and her husband Rob raised three children, and they now have six grandchildren. Claire’s passions include gardening, hiking, horseback riding, and martial arts. Her love of nature has recently taken her to a canoe trip down the Green River in Canyon land, Utah, and an exploration of the Outer Hebrides in Scotland with two of her siblings. Her volunteer work with Safe and Warm, Inc. began at its inception three years ago, and she currently serves on its fundraising committee and its weekly lunch making committee.
Charlie Greene was born in 1951, and raised in Auburn. He has swum in Owasco Lake since 4 months of age. He is a professional forest engineer, with previous employment for seven years each in the Oregon and Maine forests, and as a NYSDOT bridge construction engineer. He was a biodynamic rancher and agroforester on his family farms for 40 years, 34 years of which were in the Town of Niles in Cayuga County. He has been Niles Town supervisor, president of Owasco Watershed Lake Association (OWLA), an engaged member of St. Ann's Church, and a local Catholic Worker. He is a graduate of St. Alphonsus, Mt. Carmel, St. Lawrence, SUNY College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry, and Cornell. His 3 adult children reside locally.
Dan Johnson lives in Auburn, New York, with his wife Sharon. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 35 years as a Sector Level Lead Auditor and Trainer. He is an active member at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Skaneateles where he is a member of the Racial Justice and Reconciliation Commission. He is a member of the Auburn Cayuga NAACP and formerly served as the Secretary, Membership Chair and Newsletter Editor. He is a member of the Meals On Wheels team and a SPCA volunteer.
Linda Lavery is a founding member of the Racial Justice and Reconciliation Commission of St James’ Episcopal Church in Skaneateles. She is also a member of the board at St James’ Thrift Shop in Skaneateles.
Dannielle Hamilton is a 38‑year‑old Auburn native, mother of two, and a dedicated community advocate committed to supporting individuals and families throughout Cayuga County. She works with Catholic Charities, where she assists participants in the Auburn Problem Solving Courts by helping them access resources, build stability, and work toward long‑term success. Dannielle completed her Associate in Science degree in Human Services, with a concentration in Human Services Social Work, at Cayuga Community College. Since 2008, she has also worked as a Home Health Aide, providing compassionate, hands‑on care to individuals in need. Dannielle serves as a member and secretary of the Human Rights Commission and is a board member of two community organizations. She aspires to continue her education by completing her Bachelor’s in Social Work at Keuka College, further strengthening her commitment to service, justice, and community empowerment.
Molly Spalding lives in Skaneateles. She and her husband, Bill, have three adult children, a dog and a two year old granddaughter who is the light of their lives. Molly is a Vestry member at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Skaneateles and a proud charter member of the Racial Justice and Reconciliation Commission of the same church.
